Check Out Our Reading List for Books to Read Together at Home

October is Disability Awareness Month. During the month, students will learn about people in our schools and community who may look, move, or learn a little differently. This Friday, we will welcome Trevor Pachelli, who will speak to the students about living with autism during an assembly.

In addition, throughout the month, we will share with you interesting books that you and your students can read together at home to help your children learn about different disabilities. Watch for the Sunday Mannager for new book ideas every week.

This week's featured reading is the Wonders storyWe're all Wonders is a picture book for younger readers, while Wonders is a chapter book for grades 3-6. This wonderful story is about Auggie, a 10-year-old boy living in New York City who was born with a facial deformity that has made it difficult to make friends. The exciting thing about this book is that there is a major motion picture set for release November 17.
