Spring Enrichment Opens April 1st - No Joke :)
It's no joke, we are opening registration for spring enrichment classes on April 1st. The after-school enrichment classes are sponsored by the PTSA and are meant to allow students to explore their interests in classes that complement our school curriculum. We wouldn't be able to offer these classes without the support of our volunteers. THANK YOU to the spring dedicated chaperones (Suzanne Ender, Tevfik Karacan, Nia Par, Mina Sauls, Lisa Sheffield, Tonya Volegova) and for the enrichment committee members (Mina Sauls, Monique Widjaja) for all your hard work! If you are able to volunteer for the 2019-2020 school year, email ... read full article

Staff Appreciation Week Needs Your Help!
Because we have such a diverse student body and staff, we thought it would be a great idea to take the Horace Mann Staff on a tour around the world with a week of cultural celebrations for Staff Appreciation Week!    The plan is to pamper our staff with the goodness of a different Horace Mann family heritage each day of the week, and that is where I need your help.   We have a such a great group of families from all over the world. USAgain Textile Recycling
Help Horace Mann raise funds for our school (and achieve waste reduction goals) by putting used and no longer needed textiles into our new Textile Recycling Bin! The bin is located in the staff parking lot, on the East side of the school. The more we recycle and donate, the more we earn! A whopping 85% of all discarded textiles – 13 million tons – end up in U.S. landfills every year (EPA). Reusing even one T-shirt prevents the emission of at least 7lbs of harmful greenhouse gases and saves nearly 700 gallons of water. Most of the clothes will ... read full article
