STANDING RULES UPDATE

Recommendations for Updates to Standing Rules

The Horace Mann PTSA board is presenting the general membership with recommendations for updates to the standing rules. The changes represent both refreshing language for clarity and some substantive changes we believe are necessary to reflect changing policies.

The proposed documents outlining the recommended changes will be available for review and comment through November 12.

• Edits – Standing Rules Updates 25-26: contains a track changes view of all the edits that we are proposing
• Clean – Standing Rules Updates 25-26: is a clean version that incorporates all the changes plus a reorganization of the sections for better clarity
• Substantive Change Explanations – Standing Rules 25-26: outlines all of the substantive changes with the reasons behind each change

We encourage any members who wish to take this opportunity to carefully read through the documents and share any feedback or suggestions. Please send any comments or questions to secretary@mannptsa.org.

Following the review period, a vote for approval of the updated standing rules will take place at the general membership meeting scheduled for November 20.
