AccountDear Families,
What an incredible start to the school year! Our Bike Derby and Ice Cream Social were a huge success—thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and helped make these events so special. It was wonderful to see our community come together, students riding with excitement, families enjoying time together, and of course, plenty of ice cream smiles all around.
A special thank-you goes out to all the volunteers who made these events possible. From planning and setup to cheering on riders and scooping ice cream, your time and energy make all the difference. We're also so grateful to everyone who has already donated, signed up to be art docents, taken on classroom lead roles, and helped launch the school year with momentum and spirit.
That said, we still need several classroom leads and art docents to round out our volunteer team. If you're able to help, please reach out at volunteers@mannptsa.org—your involvement, big or small, makes a lasting impact for our students.
Together, we're building a fantastic year for our children. Thank you for everything you've already done to support our school community—we can't wait for what's ahead!

Yuen Lui Studio will photograph individual portraits & class groups at Horace Mann Elementary.
Families can preorder photos here. Separate orders are required for each student. Print orders arrive in 3-4 weeks; digital orders sent via email.
One 8x10 group print is included with individual portrait purchases (delivered separately in February/March).

The annual Vision and Hearing Screening needs 12 volunteers in the morning and afternoon to help things run smoothly.

Donate to our annual direct-giving campaign, the Colt Corral Fund, and receive fun incentives! With your financial support, we aim to fully fund the 2025-26 PTSA year without needing additional fundraisers.
A one-and-done donation of $80 per student will ensure we reach our goal. We know that is not realistic for many families, so we are asking you to give whatever you can. Some can give less, and others can give more - but EVERY DOLLAR HELPS and is greatly appreciated.

If you'd like to volunteer at Horace Mann, please fill out LWSD's volunteer application. Volunteer applications need to be renewed every two years.
